Whether or not you are a coffee lover, you undoubtedly have heard of and know Starbucks. The company is a powerhouse in the coffee industry and has been producing quality coffee for its customers since 1971. Over the years, Starbucks has grown from a small single store roaster and retailer of whole bean and ground coffee to a global chain store with over 29,000 stores across 80 countries globally. Today, the company is known for its quality coffee and warm ambiance in all the coffeehouses. It is, therefore, no surprise that Starbucks keeps growing on a global scale.

Starbucks’ mission and vision statement have played a crucial role in the company’s global growth. The vision also mentions that even as the company aims to achieve its ambitious goals, they are determined to uphold the company culture.

The first component from the statement comes from the premier purveyance aspect. Starbucks intends to be a global leader in the coffee industry. The company is determined to remain ahead of its competitors in the industry and achieving a global presence.

Starbucks intends to be a global leader by focusing on its vision’s second component- the provision of quality coffee. The company has consistently shown its unwavering quality in every cup of coffee, which is proof of its determination to provide the most excellent coffee in the world.

Another critical component in the vision statement is the upholding of the company’s standards. Starbucks is well-known for its rich company culture and the warm, welcoming environment it creates for its employees and customers. Through their vision statement, Starbucks highlights its intent always to keep its customer base as the priority.

The final component we derive from this vision statement is the element of growth. Since its inception, Starbucks has continued to expand the business and open new coffeehouses across the globe. The company intends to keep growing and increase its global presence. Starbucks’ values are teamwork, integrity, respect for culture, and perseverance. These core values are an indication of the company’s driving force towards achieving its mission ad vision. They are the codes of conduct that determine how Starbucks can continue being a leading coffee provider globally.

1. Teamwork

Starbucks emphasizes the need for cooperation in its success. Positive collaboration between all stakeholders- the company, its employees, the customers, and other partners- to ensure that the company keeps growing. Through this core value, Starbucks recognizes that every key player is essential, and they will only achieve success by working together.

2. Integrity

The second core value emphasizes the need for transparency in its daily operations. The company aims to do things in the right way both in its business transactions and customer services. By doing so, Starbucks can create and maintain a cordial relationship with all the parties involved in its business.

3. Respect for culture

Starbucks coffeehouses have a traditional culture. Regardless of the location, every coffeehouse has a cozy feel and is welcoming to everyone. The company has always had its way of doing things over the years. This third core value highlights the importance of the Starbucks culture. It also shows that the company intends to maintain this culture.
