IB (International Baccalaureate) Mission and Vision Statements Analysis

IB mission statement is “to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.” The statement shows that the institution primary duty is to empower individuals for the purpose of developing the world. The statement can be broken down into two components:

  1. Improving lives
  2. Transforming the world

IB (International Baccalaureate) disseminates knowledge and skills through its four programs in a structured way and adapted to international education. Individuals become empowered to excel and achieve more. IB also offers professional development to create international educators and maintain continuum. The institution uses this approach to foster the development of responsible and future-minded experts who have the potential to improve the world for the benefit of all humankind.

Introduction

The International Baccalaureate (IB) is an education-based facility in Geneva. It has been in operation since 1968. Since then, it has contributed to global developments through its four major programmers. The success of IB for over half a century is credited to the specificity of its mission and vision statement, together with the core values. A corporate vision statement identifies the future position a company would want to achieve, while a corporate mission statement shows the strategies of accomplishing future expectations.

In this case analysis of IB, the vision statement is about offering an outstanding learning experience for its scholars. Vision Statement

IB does not have an officially published vision statement. Despite its absence, the organization emphasizes that education is its primary agenda.

Based on its focus, IB considers international education as an integral component in the growth of the world as a whole. It also sees knowledge as an important tool for individual satisfaction. This explains its undivided attention towards maintenance of high qualities in the programs that it offers. In fact, potential students must satisfy a particular process of authorization.

Core Values

IB core values include “being an inquirer, balanced, principled, knowledgeable, risk-takers, communicator, open-minded, caring, and reflective.” The facility uses these attributes to create a conducive environment where everyone can reach their potential.

IB (International Baccalaureate) recognizes that its values are more than conventional human capabilities. They are principles that guide the entire institution and the interaction of all individuals with other players.
