Publix’s mission statement is “to be the premier quality food retailer in the world.” The statement stresses on the level of quality the enterprise would want to treat its clients together with being a role model on a global scale. The mission statement has the following components:

In the first component, Publix shows that it cares about the wellness of its customers through its business model. The company specializes in supplying groceries and other food items that are directly linked with the enhancement of immunity, translating to better health. Its efforts are further complemented by the fact that its supplies are fresh from the farms, and meeting specific qualities set by the Publix. The emphasis on quality is one of the many factors that has seen Publix become a premier retailer in the U.S. Moreover, Publix also continues to expand its business beyond the U.S. borders, as shown by its last component in this mission statement.

Publix is an enterprise whose mission and vision statements have enabled the company to withstand the test of time with its ability to adapt to changing business environments. Since 1930 when it was established by George W. Jenkins, Publix has maintained its focus of being a top brand characterized by exceptional quality products and distinguished services due to its mission and vision statements.

A corporate vision statement reveals the future of a company, while the mission statement indicates the steps or strategies that would see it achieve such heights. In this case, Publix’s vision statement emphasizes the leadership the company wants to demonstrate in the grocery chain, while its mission is to provide the best services to its customers, while at the same time creating an ideal working environment for its employees.

Publix achieves all these goals aided by its core values that work hand in hand with the mission and vision statements, and together, they have transformed it into one of the most sought-after companies in the U.S.

However, the company states that it is “dedicated to customer service and community involvement, and being a great place to work and shop.” This statement reveals a lot about Publix that it is more than a grocery supermarket.
