Sierra Club mission statement is “to
practice and promote the responsible use of the earth’s ecosystems and
resources; To educate and enlist humanity to protect and restore the quality of
the natural and human environment, and to use all lawful means to carry out
these objectives.” The statement comprises of the listed components:

The primary duty of the Sierra Club is to maintain the stability of
the environment by combating all elements of destruction. This organization
has been championing for such issues through its advocates, community of
volunteers, and other supporters. Sierra Club understands the essentiality of
nature to the survival of humanity. It, therefore, commits all its resources to
rally like-minded individuals to join its course and create a world where
people can flourish and achieve their potentials.
Sierra Club has been leading in the protection and preservation of the environment in the U.S. since 1892. The experiences of this organization over the years places it in an advantageous position to execute its duties. In fact, its mission and vision statement further improve its effectiveness. A corporate vision statement describes what an organization wants to be. On the other hand, a corporate mission statement shows how the establishment can get to where it wants to be.
For Sierra Club, the vision statement is to become the leader in environmental activism and defense. Its mission statement emphasizes the incorporation of humanity in the fight for the benefit of nature. Sierra Club has specific core values that have enabled the organization to cultivate a culture that reflects what it does. These core values contribute to the achievement of both the mission and the vision of the Sierra Club.
Though Sierra Club is yet to give its
official vision statement, its work practices show that it is focused on “leading
in the reclamation and restoration of the world to its natural conditions.”
The implied statement has one main component.

All the activities of the Sierra Club
target to get rid of pollutants and other destructive agents in the
environment. Today, it has inspired numerous groups to take action and join in this
fight leading to the adoption of environmentally friendly approaches in
industries across the U.S.
Sierra Club core values comprise “championing,
persistent working, fighting, and believing.” All these values declare the
passion of the organization towards the environment.
