PETA mission statement is “establishing
and protecting the rights of all animals. PETA operates under the simple
principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, or use for
entertainment.” This statement has the following components:
- Changing perspectives
- Protecting all animals’
The first component covers the primary duty
of PETA – to usher in a new era where animals are respected and treated with
dignity. This is what all the PETA people propagate including its founders and
all other partners. They make it clear to the world that their stand on animal rights remain
uncompromised as represented by the second component. As a result, the
organization infiltrates its campaigns in all segments of life to ensure that
its message reaches everyone.
People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is an organization that protects the rights of animals in the U.S. The body has been in operation since 1980 and has since been influential in changing the perspectives on animals across the world. Its achievements have been aided by its corporate statement, the mission and vision statements. They have enabled PETA to maintain an undivided commitment to its objectives of putting animals first.
The mission statement of this organization targets the champion for the rights of animals in entertainment, food, clothing, and laboratory sectors. The vision statement advances this course of protecting animals from all forms of violation by declaring and enforcing the need to ensure everyone complies with animal rights. The core values of PETA also align with the emphasis laid by the mission and vision statements. The agreement among the three tools is what keeps PETA prepared and adequately equipped to execute its mandates.
PETA vision statement is embedded within
its mission. The organization shows that it “seeks to end animal suffering
and cruelty through education and protest campaigns.”
As shown in the success stories, PETA
continuously edges closer to its vision through its daily actions and
achievements. The company has been constantly engaging different stakeholders
together with the general public through education and creation of awareness
regarding animal rights not only in America but also in its various
PETA core values include “humanity, and
respect and caring for animals.” This organization directs all its
resources to campaign
for the protection of animals. As a result, these core values add to its
efforts of creating a general understanding of the values and rights that
animals have. They stimulate a behavioral change where people accept and
recognize the cruelty of any magnitude against animals is unethical.
